Primary Responsibilities
ENGIE Impact is seeking an Energy Efficiency and Renewable Consultant, a passionate, analytical, highly collaborative and detailed-oriented critical thinker who can communicate insights with precision while working on selected workstreams across client assignments.
As an energy efficiency and renewable energy Consultant, you will work on internal and external engagements alongside ENGIE Impact’s Sustainability Solutions team of professionals and across all sectors where Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy opportunities are likely to play a decarbonization role. Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Analyzing, modeling, and interpreting statistical data utilizing engineering / CEM skills towards developing energy efficiency and renewable solutions
- Creating data visualizations and web-based tools
- Creating and managing databases and key data for the Solutions team
- Conducting research and developing oral and written briefings on industry trends, including technological and regulatory developments for energy efficiency and renewable energy
- Structuring and leading technical analysis of data for energy efficiency and renewable energy by using ENGIE’s proprietary tools, following appropriate internal training
- Developing and preparing high-quality client-facing materials
- Helping contribute to the development and structuring of client offerings based on data for renewable energy
- Developing renewable energy strategic roadmaps using ENGIE Impact proprietary tools
- Work closely with other parts of ENGIE Impact to gather the necessary data to develop scenario analysis

Preferred Qualifications
A successful Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Consultant, within the Sustainability Solutions team at ENGIE Impact will typically meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or energy related technologies, Master’s preferred
• 3 – 5 years experience working with renewable energy including renewable energy modeling
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Proficiency with MS Tools (Excel, PowerPoint) required
• Experience and knowledge of renewable energy products such as VPPAs, PPAs, Green Retail, Green Tariffs, EACs, Community Solar and tax equity
• Familiarity with advanced data visualization (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and programming environments (e.g., PowerQuery, R, Python)
• Ability to model and interpret energy tariffs and renewable energy programs
• Understanding of energy efficiency and renewable technologies and their cost trajectories
• Ability to understand and identify savings opportunities based on energy data
• Experience working on quantitative issues with simulation models, especially in the energy business, is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as autonomously
• Experience in Performing Energy Assessments within industrial / manufacturing settings
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage deadlines
• Experience analyzing customer’s portfolios to find the right renewable energy solutions
