QUALIFICATIONSRESPONSIBILITIES
In our Material Physics, Analytics & Formulation unit we are looking
for you to strengthen our activities in the field of Characterization of
Colloidal Systems.
o As a research scientist, you will work in interdisciplinary teams to
develop and optimize material solutions for various industries like
home care, personal care or coatings with a special focus on the
interactions in colloidal systems.
o Your contribution is to support R&D activities by comprehensively
characterizing materials and providing a fundamental
understanding of the underlying structure-property-relationships
which will help to identify optimum material compositions and
designs.
o Furthermore, you will use a set of commercial as well as
customized high-end methods, and develop them toward the
needs as well as requirements to work closely together with other
characterization labs in our unit.
o You will actively participate in the innovation process with project
ideas of your own.
o As a lab team manager, you will be responsible for managing your
employees in subject-specific terms.
o PhD in physics, materials science or chemistry with
above-average marks
o Experienced in light scattering methods for the characterization of
colloids, such as polymer particles and macromolecules, ideally
also in complex systems such as formulations in consumer
products
o Good knowledge about physics (i.e. morphology and properties)
and chemistry of polymeric materials
o Skills in standard computer programs
o Fluent English language skills
o Contributing creativity as well as initiative as part of a team
