To support our team at the Aachen location, we are immediately hiring for an
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (F/M/D)
DYNAMIC SIMULATION MODELS
Your Taks:
• Development of generic as well as manufacturer-specific
dynamic models of HVDC systems, generation plants (wind
and solar energy, hydropower, combustion engines, steam
power plants, gas turbines, combined cycle, combined heat
and power), and energy storage systems for grid simulation
in the time domain (RMS and EMT)
• Integration of external DLL files into PowerFactory models
• Realisation of dynamic simulations in the time domain (RMS,
EMT) within the scope of projects and for model validation
according to FGW TR4
• Technical support and consulting for our national and
international PowerFactory users with focus on HVDC
systems, generation plants, energy storage systems and their
dynamic simulation
• Model documentation
• Development of application examples as well as support of
the PowerFactory specification process
• Planning and implementation of training courses worldwide
on special topics of grid calculation in the aforementioned
focus area
• Attendance at international conferences and exhibitions
• Product presentations and technical support in sales
processes
Your Profile:
• Degree (Masters / PhD) in Power Systems Engineering or
Engineering Cybernetics
• Experience in developing models for the dynamic simulation
of electrical power supply networks, in particular HVDC,
generation or storage systems, as well as in carrying out
dynamic simulations in the time domain
• Knowledge in the use of our simulation software
PowerFactory, and ideally also in MATLAB/Simulink and
PSCAD
• Enjoy deepening your expert knowledge and familiarising
yourself with new topics
• Your team and communication skills, willingness to perform
and ability to work under pressure
• Very good English language skills
