Application Engineer (m/w/d) Amplifier

Your tasks
- Develop a deep understanding of different amplifier applications
fields; document and communicate the customer pain points and
requirements internally in order to help providing the best possible
solution to the customer
- Develop customer-specific solutions based on existing amplifier
models in close cooperation with Product Management, Sales and
R&D
- Support sales and product management during customer visits
and product introductions as a technical peer; conduct product
demonstrations internally and externally
- Act as a technical consultant for the customer, regional Sales and
Product Management for complex product offers, technical
solutions, upgrade requests etc..
- Analyze and document measurement results with the clear target
to work out the products’ strongpoints and to create technical
marketing material like white papers, application notes etc.
- Define and organize or conduct measurement plans together with
colleagues from R&D and subsidiaries in order to develop an in-
depth understanding of the performance of R&S amplifiers in
different application fields like RF component testing (validation
tests of electronic components and devices), EMC and other
related areas
- Strong collaboration with regional Sales and Product
Management to support the business growth and diversification

Your qualifications
- Electrical engineering degree or similar; focus RF engineering or
communication engineering
- Knowledge in the field of RF component testing and EMC is a
plus
- Relevant working experience in application engineering, technical
service, R&D or similar disciplines
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for radio frequency
laboratory work and scientific details but still feels comfortable
working closely with customers and colleagues from versatile
disciplines.
- Experience with MS Office, especially Excel - Experience in
remote control of measurement devices is a plus
- Conversational and intercultural skills and marked ability to lead
in-depth technical calls and discussions with international
customers
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written. German language
skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel (15-20%)
